Skills-Based Hiring: Creating Pathways for STARs in Maryland

In 2023, the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) launched a partnership pilot program that focuses on increasing the effectiveness of skills-based hiring. Skills-based hiring takes an equitable and data-driven approach to how employers think about recruitment. ACCT's pilot program in the State of Maryland will lead to a comprehensive framework on how other states and organizations can make skills-based hiring go from pre-announcement to implementation.

Elevating Student Voice: Resources from the Non-Credit to Credit Alignment Lab

ACCT and ESG are pleased to help introduce and amplify the voices of students and institutional leaders focused on serving them, including profiles of six students who each attended colleges participating in NCAL and benefited from the work to build alignment between non-credit and credit.

The Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) and the National Head Start Association (NHSA) are excited to launch the Kids on Campus User Guide. Since March 2023, ACCT and NHSA have worked to curate materials to simplify partnership exploration and the contract process between community colleges and Head Start providers.
